Kelley Alliance alive and well checks help you determine that a claimant is alive and receiving her benefits, that those benefits are not being redirected to a third party, and that the claimant still qualifies for the benefits she’s receiving.
To begin an alive and well check, a Kelley Alliance investigator will make a phone call to the claimant. Our investigator may also call the claimant’s neighbors to establish that she is alive and residing at the address provided on her benefits claim.
We also conduct face-to-face alive and well checks. In a face-to-face check, a Kelley Alliance investigator will interview the claimant. Our investigator will verify the claimant’s:
- Social Security number
- Current address
- Telephone number
- Medical treatment history
- Activity level
- Disability status
- Benefits status
If Kelley Alliance investigators are unable to meet a claimant face-to-face, we’ll perform a neighborhood canvas. Then we’ll search public records by verifying the claimant’s Social Security number, checking the Social Security Administration Death Master File, and conducting a nationwide obituary search.
