Our Neighborhood Canvass Investigators go Door to Door
In an incident investigation, a neighborhood canvass can be the best way to find witnesses and gather evidence. A Kelley Alliance investigator can be sent to canvass a neighborhood soon after an incident occurs, including on nights and weekends. These are the best times to find witnesses as more people will be available to interview.
Because we can dispatch our investigators quickly, you’re more likely to get valuable information. Witness statements are most accurate close to the event. It’s then that a witness’s memory of the incident is most clear. When a canvass turns up a witness, our investigators can take recorded statements on the spot — thus, helping to build your case.
But witness testimony isn’t the only information we collect during a neighborhood canvass. We thoroughly interview everyone in the canvass area and identify any visitors to the scene who may also be witnesses or suspects. If there’s already a suspect under investigation, we obtain any valuable information that can be used to further investigate the subject, including his address, vehicle make and model, schedule, and normal daily activities.
A Kelley Alliance canvass helps develop leads and gather evidence related to the incident you’re investigating.
